This is the flagship event of MIT’s Sports Lab. It brings together a curated group of doers - those in industry and academia who have big visions and are on the forefront of their disciplines. It is an opportunity for all of our affiliates, supporters, and members of the MIT community to come to campus and share advances, challenges and passions that lie at the intersection of engineering and sports. This year's summit will take place at MIT, November 12th - 13th.
Who should attend?
Affiliates and partners of the program will get a glimpse into the future of sports technology in a variety of areas, from advanced functional fibers to big data and analytics. You will get to meet faculty, students and startups working in these areas.
Students interested in sports technology can hear from world-class thought leaders from both industry and academia about exciting new research and development that will revolutionize the sports industry.*
This year, by more popular request, we have expanded our activities a bit further and have many ways to participate:
Flash Talks & Industry Panels: Short 5-minute talks by MIT faculty on the latest research taking place at MIT followed by industry panels within a similar theme about the latest innovations taking place in the field of sport.
MIT Sports Tech Startup Showcase: Startups from the MIT community working on sports-related projects will present their disruptive ideas and technology for all attendees with live demos of their products where applicable.
MIT Sports Research Poster Session: This will be a showcase of research being done by students and faculty that may have sports-related applications.
